The patrol division is the backbone of the Oak Bluffs Police Department. Our patrol officers take on community policing roles while performing traditional police duties.

 

In addition to responding to a wide range of different calls for service, officers perform criminal investigations and traffic enforcement, provide emergency medical care supplemental to Oak Bluffs Emergency Medical Services, and provide various other services as community needs arise.

 

Our officers act in a proactive manner with directed patrols as well as engaging in other problem solving activities. They work in partnership with members of our community in seeking out and resolving problems to enhance the quality of life for the residents and visitors of Oak Bluffs.
